Green Acres Landscape, Inc. proudly participated in the 32nd Annual Young Life ForeKids! golf tournament, held at Illahe Golf Club in Salem, Oregon, on May 9th, 2025. This annual event brings together community members, local businesses, and supporters to raise funds for this vital youth program in the Salem area. Young Life was able to raise over $60,000.00 this year and they have teams at the following local high schools: McKay, North Salem, South Salem, Sprague, Cascade, and a new team being built at McNary, as well as, Parrish, Claggett, and Judson Middle Schools.
Since its inception in 1941 in Texas, Young Life has dedicated itself to reaching adolescents with the message that they are cared for by God and that life can be abundant. Today, over 80 years later, Young Life has expanded to more than 100 countries, serving over two million young people worldwide—approximately 348,000 of whom were involved weekly in 2018. Their core mission is “Life to the full; introducing adolescents to Jesus Christ and helping them grow their faith.”
Funds raised at this year’s golf tournament will support local youth programs, including middle school, high school, and college students, those with special needs, and teen moms—helping to create positive environments that foster faith, growth, and community connection.
