On March 11th, Enrique and Zach from Green Acres Landscape, Inc attended the Salem Fire Foundation Sustainer Fundraising Breakfast as a Cadet sponsor. The event was a resounding success, raising over $45,000 to fund vital programs and initiatives that bolster the health and safety of our community.

The breakfast, an annual community gathering, provided an opportunity to meet Salem’s new Fire Chief and hear an incredibly touching story about Firefighter Spencer Tejedas from the Portland Metro area. His story showcased the unwavering camaraderie and support within the firefighter community—a true family that steps up whenever one of their own is in need.

For those inspired to make an impact, the Salem Fire Foundation is a phenomenal resource for supporting our local heroes. The Foundation’s mission includes improving community health and welfare by offering CPR training, increasing access to automatic external defibrillators (AEDs), and empowering public responders to assist during cardiac emergencies. They also provide vital support for firefighters, dispatchers, and their families, ensuring they have the equipment, education, and opportunities they need.

If you’d like to contribute to these efforts, consider marking your calendar for the Foundation’s next big event: a golf fundraising tournament scheduled for September 5th, 2025. Together, let’s continue to support the brave individuals who dedicate their lives to protecting our community!
