Once your yard is complete, sit back, relax, and enjoy a delicious meal outdoors. Here’s a fantastic recipe for grilled hamburgers and veggies that will be perfect for your new outdoor space:

Grilled Hamburgers

Ingredients (makes 4 burgers):

1½ lbs ground beef (80/20 for best juiciness)

1 tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Optional: 1 egg and ¼ cup breadcrumbs (for added bind)

Toppings and Buns:

Sliced cheddar or American cheese

Burger buns (toasted lightly on the grill)

Lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayo)

Instructions:

1. Mix ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Avoid overmixing.

2. Form into 4 equal patties, about ¾ inch thick. Press a slight dimple in the center with your thumb.

3. Preheat grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F/200°C).

4. Grill patties for 4–5 minutes per side for medium doneness. Add cheese in the last minute if desired.

5. Rest burgers for 2–3 minutes before serving on buns with toppings.

Grilled Vegetables

Great veggies to grill:

Bell peppers (cut into large strips)

Zucchini (sliced lengthwise)

Red onion (sliced thick)

Mushrooms (whole or halved)

Asparagus

Marinade:

¼ cup olive oil

2 tbsp balsamic vinegar or lemon juice

2 garlic cloves (minced)

Salt and pepper

Optional: 1 tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning

Instructions:

1. Toss vegetables with marinade and let sit for 15–30 minutes.

2. Grill on medium-high heat, turning occasionally:

Peppers, onions: 6–8 minutes

Zucchini, asparagus: 4–6 minutes

Mushrooms: 5–7 minutes
