On Monday, Green Acres Landscape, Inc. had the pleasure of participating in the annual Darian’s Gift golf tournament held at the beautiful Illahe Country Club. The event was a wonderful day of camaraderie, community support, and giving back — and our team was thrilled to be part of it.
Our employees not only enjoyed a friendly round of golf, but also took pride in serving as a hole sponsor. Two of our team members from the GA at Home store generously handed out refreshing drinks, snacks, and our exclusive Green Acres swag to players and attendees alike. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with the community, share our passions for outdoor beauty, and support a cause that truly makes a difference.
Founded in 2010, Darian’s Gift has become a beacon of hope for families impacted by childhood cancer. Having served over 170 families and providing more than $600,000 in grants, services, and assistance, Darian’s Gift helps ease the burden of treatment and brings moments of joy during challenging times.
The organization was inspired by Darian, a vibrant five-year-old boy who loved to run, jump, and play—until a diagnosis of Osteosarcoma changed everything. Darian’s story is one of courage, love, and legacy. Despite his brief time here—his passing on April 29th, 2009—his spirit continues to inspire countless families through Darian’s Gift.
Darian’s Gift supports families with financial aid, household assistance, auto repairs, groceries, utility bills, and moments of joy like outings and gift cards. They focus on helping families maintain normalcy and create lasting memories amidst the stress of childhood cancer.
Support from community events like the golf tournament enables Darian’s Gift to keep making an impact. It’s a celebration of community spirit, resilience, and hope—values we hold dear at Green Acres Landscape.
